Mata Merah.

***
Usual routine: Get up early in the morning. Travel. Line up. Wait. Watch rude people cut queue (this is always a certain race, sorry lah but it's true). Geram. Wait. Rush to take number. Wait. Young nurse takes blood. (sometimes trainees). Emo. (lagi emo if trainee takes blood)

Not-a-usual-routine: Get up early in the morning. Travel. Line up. Wait. Watch rude people cut queue .Geram. Wait. Rush to take number. Wait. Old and experienced Malay man (as old as dad) who is the HA ( I think) takes blood. Happy! (cepat, efisyen dan sakit-less!)

The Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you!

Fresh from the clouds.

Photography can be so therapeutic in times of distress.
(even when you're taking pictures of scurrying Kerenggas)

Buying Ding Dang chocolate the other day reminded me of my primary school days when I used to buy a whole lot of junk food like Choki Choki, keropok bantal and that long-ish looking ais-krim panjang. Some memories will remain with you for a very, very long time.

I waited and waited and waited for God.
At last he looked; finally he listened.
He lifted me out of the ditch,
pulled me from deep mud.
He stood me up on a solid rock
to make sure I wouldn't slip.
He taught me how to sing the latest God-song,a praise-song to our God.
More and more people are seeing this:
they enter the mystery, abandoning themselves to God.
Psalm 40:1-3 (The Message)

I miss you.

***
Saya amat merindui Universiti Malaya.

You know, on a very clear day, you can actually see the glimmering lights of Petronas twin towers, KL tower and Genting Highlands from the highest point of Banting Bridge?

Feeling better is not what we're after. The goal is freedom from the pit for the rest of your life.

Rushing.

***
I think Banting has good food. I can still taste yesterday's wantan mee (which is so much better than the famous one in Petaling Street) which was paid by Mr. Ex-Banting-Politician-Ee-K-Hock who so happened to be there. And then, today I ate the most humongous crab I'd ever seen and it tasted so good.

Sometimes it's nice to know that your neighbour cares for you.

I have set the Lord always before me. Because He is my right hand, I shall not be moved-Psalm 16:8

Raya Boy.

***
Hari Raya was Hari Raya because I did everything (almost) that was Hari Raya-ish: Visited my neighbour, visited Diana, ate ketupat, ate rendang, ate ayam masak merah, ate kacang curry, ate chicken curry, ate nasi kuning, ate Raya cookies, salam-ed people and children.

Sometimes it's easy to think about the so many possibilites of where I'd be posted to. Sometimes it's so difficult. The future looks blank.

People can help you but they can't heal you. People can lift you but they can't carry you.

Baby Enoch.

***

Sometimes a small change in your daily routine can be so refreshing-like playing Boggle with the mother, sister, brother-in-law and friend until almost 1.00am.

Your little brother or sister would say 'eeyer' if someone gave him a free Nescafe bag. An orang Asli kid said 'wah' when he got a free Nescafe bag (which is a pretty nice bag, ok).

An author wrote, "God did not haphazardly or accidentally let Joseph's brothers throw him in the pit. He had already thought it out in advance. Considered it. Weighed it. Checked it against the plumb line of the plan. He had looked at the good it could ultimately accomplish, the lives that could be helped and even saved. Then, only then, in His sovereign purpose did He permit such harm to come to His beloved child.

The first nephew.

***
Why must some churches and Christian organisations have camps during the Raya break? Don't they have any Malay friends to celebrate with?

Sometimes the things you say to others may not mean anything to you, but it sure does mean a lot to that person. Hurtful words.

Satan is a master at using our own insecurity against us. He knows that deep in our hearts we're so fragile and injured by life that his faintest whisper will talk us into feeling guilty even when we're not. Satan knows the hardest person for us to forgive will always be ourself-Beth Moore.

Loops.

***
Today I got up in the morning wishing I was in some beautiful European country, drinking a cup of nice hot coffee. Dreams, dreams, dreams.

Loopy is a true-blue Pariah dog.

Can you live each day at a time and not worry about tomorrow?

The other sisters.

Hmm. I think The Ugly Truth is such a trashy movie. Nothing can beat You've Got Mail. I think I shall watch it for the millionth time and get me self all warm and fuzzy. Bleh. Stupid love stories...

Fleeting.

***
Today I walked around my Taman in the evening after so many years and it got me feeling nostalgic. No, I don't miss walking along familiar houses.

I miss walking around the varsity lake.

Sunday, September 13, 2009

Notice anything familiar?

But why does it look extremely saturated? Sigh. Oh wells.. :-)

Saturday, September 12, 2009

All will be well.

There's more to come, but I shall always trust in God and His Providence. Too many false hopes, but I shall only look to Him for Hope. It's alright not being able to understand why.

'I will lift up my eyes to the hills-
From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth'
Psalm 121:1-2

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith.

Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1 John 5:4-6

O my God, my soul is cast down within me,
Therefore I will remember you...
